Auburn Community Orchestra presents Fall Masterworks at Gogue Performing Arts Center

AUBURN, Ala.- The Auburn Community Orchestra (ACO) will perform its Fall Masterworks concert on Tuesday, Oct. 14, at 7 p.m. This concert will be held at the Jay and Susie Gogue Performing Arts Center (GPAC) in the Woltosz Theatre.

ACO’s program will include:

  • Knightsbridge March – Eric Coates
  • American Folk Rhapsody No. 1 – Clare Grundman
  • The Trumpeter’s Lullaby – Leroy Anderson
  • Ashlynn “Cricket” Hayes – Trumpet Soloist
  • Rhosymedre – Ralph Vaughan Williams
  • Radetzky March – Johann Strauss, Sr.
  • The ‘Giant Fugue’ – Johann Sebastian Bach
  • 1812 Overture “Overture Solennelle” – Pyotr ILyich Tchaikovsky

This concert is FREE, family-friendly and open to the public. There is no charge for the concert, and tickets may be found at the GPAC Box Office or at goguecenter.evenue.net/event/G25/R1014.

The ACO is led by Music Director and Conductor Dr. Rusty Logan, who brings 33 years of experience as a band director, including 24 years at Auburn High School. He serves as principal trombonist and executive board chair of the Alabama Winds and is the executive director of the Alabama Music Educators Association. A highly sought-after adjudicator, clinician and guest conductor, Logan brings a wealth of expertise to the podium. Under his direction, the ACO will deliver an exciting and enjoyable program for both the community and visitors.
